Slay Showdown: Fenty VS Huda

As the summer heats up and you pack your bag for the beach which body glow will you be bringing along? I am a sucker for an amazing glow at the beach or pool but with so many options I decided to try out Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer in the shade Brown Sugar and Huda Beauty All Over Body Highlighter in the shade N.Y.M.P.H. to see which product will be my go to for Summer19. I wasn’t mad at either purchase but there are some key things that made me like one over the other.

Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer

SCENT: Floral Vanilla Scent (The scent is super light and didn’t interfere with what I was wearing already)
THE PITCH: “Light diffusing micro pearls blended with a sheer tint of color to accentuate all skin types”

(Anything that says “ALL SKIN TYPES” makes me think they are trying to be inclusive which makes me happy!)

FIRST INGREDIENT: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene

(When I read that I was like, “WTH is that?” But I found out that it is a synthetic oil that is in some cosmetics but a potential side effect of it is skin irritation and inflammation.
WEARABILITY: Although Body Lava looks amazing on my skin it can sometimes feel sticky and definitely transfer onto things.

Huda Beauty All Over Body Highlighter

SCENT:Smells like Coconut (Also very light and didn’t interfere with what I was already wearing)
THE PITCH: “Water based formula melts seamlessly into the skin to blur imperfections, leaving you with nothing but a sun-touched shimmer that is both water and transfer resistant”

(I live for a water based product in the summer time. It just gives me hope that my pores will breathe and sweat and sebum won’t take over my life! “Blurring imperfections” Well hello, sign me up! 😊

WEARABILITY: Huda Beauty All Over Body Highlighter looked amazing on my skin and was light weight. You definitely have to shake the bottle before using it and it transferred minimally.

Everyone knows I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all things Fenty Beauty but I have to go with Huda Beauty for this one. I can’t really wear a lot of Huda Beauty due to the fragrance in her products but this product was definitely a pleasant surprise. Can’t wait for my next trip to the beach!
